Founded by Jonathan Ludlow, we work with people starting a collection, developing one or deciding what to sell. Your taste and priorities guide our work, from the first conversation to the decisions that follow.

FOUNDER & DIRECTOR
Jonathan Ludlow
Jonathan Ludlow founded Ludlow Art Consultancy with a simple conviction: collecting art should be a pleasure, not a privilege reserved for those already familiar with the art world.
His interest began through collecting with his family and has since developed into both a personal pursuit and a professional career. A graduate in Art History from the University of St Andrews, Jonathan has worked with private collections, artists’ studios and the primary market, developing a particular interest in modern and contemporary art.
As a collector himself, he understands that the most rewarding collections are shaped as much by curiosity and personal conviction as by knowledge and considered advice.
Through LAC, Jonathan works with clients across the market, from discovering emerging artists to acquiring significant works privately. His approach combines careful research, discretion and established relationships with a belief that the experience of collecting should be as rewarding as the art itself.

Our presence in London and New York connects us to two major centres of the art market, supported by established international relationships and expanding networks across Asia and the Middle East. We draw on these connections to serve collectors wherever their interests take them.
